Hash Comparison
100% CLIENT-SIDE
Hex digests are lowercased and stripped of spaces, colons and a leading sha256:-style label before comparing. The algorithm is inferred from the length: 32 hex digits is MD5, 40 SHA-1, 64 SHA-256, 128 SHA-512. A different length means a different algorithm or a truncated paste, never a near match.
